Position Title: Warehouse Operations Manager, Merchandise

Reports To: Sr. Manager, Buying/Planning & Warehouse

Fulltime: 44 hours/week

**Position Summary**

Be a part of Canadas only Major League Baseball Club, the Toronto Blue Jays! Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Buying & Planning, the Warehouse Operations Manager position plays a large role in our commitment to an exceptional fan experience. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse management, shipping, and receiving activities, working closely with Merchandising to align on day-to-day deliverables. In this role you will be responsible for warehouse operational activity this involves overseeing warehouse team performance, expediting receiving and shipping of goods, ensuring efficient picking that meets fulfillment rates/targets and ensure optimal inventory integrity; all while keeping a safe, clean and organized storage of all product. **Key Accountabilities**

Operational Processes

* Work alongside merchandise and retail teams to create and implement best practices, strategy, policies, and processes to aid and improve business and department performance

* Follow Health & Safety and Quality Service Standards that comply with set policies, procedures, rules & safety regulations

* Provide daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual communication on the workflow and report on KPIs compared to department targets

* Develop and manage warehouse operational budgets, as it relates to staffing and expenses

* Optimize all warehouse spaces, proposing movement of stock based on the best needs of the business

* Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

* Develop, implement, and lead cost productivity programs across all areas of responsibility

* Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship)

* Responsible for picking and shipping all internal stock transfers

* Participate in other tasks, projects and events as required by Toronto Blue Jays

Inventory Audit

* Perform regular cycle counts and swiftly correct/provide solutions to any issues that may arise

* Co-Lead and participate in the Merchandising Annual Inventory Audit this includes but not limited to arranging staffing, ensuring all product is organized and audit-ready, and leading warehouse team and tasks day of the event

Team Leadership

* Set warehouse team objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance

* Provide leadership to warehouse team, focus on developing team members, and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement and added value

* Manage general operation of the warehouse in a professional, organized, and efficient manner

* Train and coach staff on receiving, shipping, transferring, picking and packing merchandise, and ensure all staff are clear on the expectations for completion, each shift

* Ensure strong communication between teams to facilitate strong exchange of information

**Skills & Qualifications**

* Passion for sports and knowledge of the game of baseball and Toronto Blue Jays a necessity

* 3 5 years experience in a Warehouse Management role

* Post-secondary education or business-related discipline

* Available to work all 81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays)

* Available to work all concerts and non-baseball related events (evenings, weekends and holidays) as required

* A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to collaborate with internal & external partners to reach desired results

* Effective prioritization, able to multi-task in fast-paced environment and meet required deadlines

* Demonstrates initiative, open to feedback and is results driven

* Analytical and solution based; Experience in evaluating, interpreting, and communicating data, advanced in Excel, and working knowledge in Merch Inventory Management Systems

* Ability to lift 40+ lbs, and must be able to sustain long physical days - stand for entire length of shift, walk throughout stadium, if needed

* Forklift license is an asset

* Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

* Legally able to work in Canada
